The new company is called West Force Aviation and was established last December. Communications Director of Norwegian, Anne-Sissel Skånvik confirmed to news agency TDN Finans that Norwegian is behind the British company.
The company has plans to open many new routes such as South Africa and India, she points out.
The news comes while Norwegian carries out a hard strike dispute. The strike started last Friday and were sharply escalated on Wednesday. The strike has so far affected about 150,000 passengers, according to Norwegian daily Aftenposten.
