There May Be Fuel Shortage in Norway

Transport companies around the country has ended the ongoing strike but the mediation is going on. Failure in the meetings will lead to a new wave of strike. The negotiator Linda Jaeger in Retail Traffic Association (YTF) is afraid the strike could lead to fuel shortages in the Oslo area, Bergen and Trondheim, writes NTB.

The reason is that an organized strike from Tuesday will affect the entire tanker fleet. Freight drivers will go on strike, running both long-haul and short distances, including the transportation of fuel. Then it may cause shortage of fuel in the strike-hit areas after Thursday.
