SWISS expands its offer from Norway to Switzerland

During the winter months until 29 March 2014 SWISS will operate the flight on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The route will be flown with an Airbus A319/A320.

This flight will be especially attractive for ski travellers since Geneva is the ideal gateway to the Swiss and French Alps. As the airline of Switzerland, SWISS already offers a daily flight from Oslo to Zurich, offering the best connections between Norway and Switzerland.

“Saturday, I was very pleased to see the first SWISS flight taking off from Oslo to Geneva, the largest city in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Truly amazing is the offer for Norwegian winter sport enthusiasts too! Geneva is the gateway to numerous marvellous winter sport destinations which offer a variety of thrilling slops or relaxed family ski vacations. Even better, that SWISS transports one pair of ski or a snowboard for free if you travel with checked baggage. I am absolutely convinced that Norwegian travellers will appreciate our all-inclusive service and the Swiss hospitality on board of our new flights to Geneva.”, says Urs Limacher, Director, Head of Sales Nordics at Swiss International Air Lines.

“We are happy to welcome this new route to Geneva to Oslo Airport”, says Nic. Nilsen, managing director at Oslo Airport.

“Norwegians are known for the love of skiing, and the addition of this route will increase the possibilities for our countrymen to visit the Alps. The route is also a very nice addition to Oslo Airport’s existing routes”, concludes Nilsen.
