Puma Chooses Former Norwegian Football Player as New Boss

Prior to joining Puma Gulden held senior positions in a number of large companies, including one of the competitors of the German manufacturer, Adidas.

Before starting a career in business, Gulden was a professional football player and played for Norway (Bryne and Strømsgodset) and for Germany (Bundesliga club Nürnberg).

Goulden studied business administration in Norway, as well as an MBA from Boston Babson Graduate School of Business. Since the beginning of 2012, he served as Executive Director of Pandora, the Danish jewelry company. From 2000 to 2011 years Gulden was the Managing Director of Europe’s largest footwear chain Deichmann. Until 2000, the manager held senior positions in the Helly Hansen and Adidas.

Gulden succeded Franz Koch, who has held this position since March 2011.

Puma, founded in Germany in 1948, is one of the world’s largest producers of sports clothing, footwear and accessories. Company products are sold in 120 countries.
