The number of migrant workers from Italy, Portugal and Spain has increased by up to 15 percent.
Accordinly, Southern Europeans make the job immigrant group in Oslo with the greatest percentage growth, although the actual numbers are still lower than expected.
The Catholic charity Caritas also reported that southern Europeans are the majority that receives assistance from their organization in Norway.Â
The Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (Nav) annoounced similar increasing figures from Southern Europe. Together with the European Employment Services (EURES), the administration organizes separate information sessions for applicants from EU countries twice a week in Oslo.Â
