Aftenposten published a report showing foreigners habits of paying fines issued in Norway. The fines for different offences from speeding to violance are mostly issued during people’s visit in Norway. There are more than 64 400 unpaid fines with a total amount of 134 millions NOK. The same number for Norwegian citizens is 598 millions NOK. When it comes to amount of unpaid fines the number is 7% for Norwegian citizens while its 77% for foreigners. People from USA, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines are the most willing ones to pay their fines while people from Afghanistan, Nigeria, Algeria, Gambia and Liberia are the ones mostly avoiding from paying their sentence.
