One of the main arguments for removing wealth tax has been that it affects firms’ investment capacity. But the analysis of SSB and tax research at the Norwegian Business School (BI) suggests that there is little cause for concern, according to ANB.
Firms whose owners pay property tax are in fact more capable than other companies in financing investments. Also they are less prone to limitations of capital than others.
The analysis is based on data from more than 31,000 small, privately owned businesses and their principal owners’ tax position.
