Norway Imported 69 percent More Meat This Year

The biggest growth was in meat imports increased by 69 percent, according to figures from Statistics Norway (SSB) and the Norwegian Agricultural Authority (SLF). 

– The situation is challenging for agriculture. We do not expect the trend to reverse in the future, says senior adviser at SLF Hans Kjetil Bjørnøy to Norwegian newspaper Nationen . 

Wheat Import followed the meat products with an increase of 43 percent, and imports of dairy products increased by 9 percent.
