Some
employees receive less salary and worse working conditions when they return to
work after parental leave. To prevent this situation, The Children, Equality
and Social Inclusion Ministry circulated a bill that will clarify the rights of
parental leave.
The
Ministry proposes that employees who are or have been on maternity leave are
entitled to the same or similar position, and the right to benefit from general
improvements in pay and working conditions.
Enactment
is intended to clarify the rights and prevent discrimination. The rights will
apply to both women and men.
