The aggreement was signed during the oil and energy minister Ola Borten Moe's visit to London on Tuesday. Borten Moe met Britain's energy and climate minister Chris Huhn. Gas, power transmission between Norway and the UK, and climate were some of the issues raised during the visit.
– Norway and Britain have close historical ties and strong common interests. A quarter of the gas we sell goes to the UK. British authorities emphasize that gas will remain important to them. We also have close cooperation in the North Sea, said the oil and energy minister Ola Borten Moe.
