More Expensive Gasoline for the Summer Holiday

According to Stavanger Aftenbladet's article, oil analyst Thina M. Saltvedt suggested crude oil prices fall slightly forward, but it will rise again in the third quarter of the year. Then gasoline prices will also increase. Third quarter begins in July and this means the cost for families who plan to go to summer trip by car can be even higher.

Average list price for 95 octane unleaded was 14.38 per liter, while diesel prices were at 13.35 yesterday. Gasoline prices rose sharply in April and May, when unrest in the Middle East and the earthquake in Japan sent oil prices up over 125 dollars per barrel. However, oil prices have fallen sharply in recent weeks due to worries about the economic conditions in Europe.
