– There is no single factor having a dampening effect on house prices now, "said senior economist Katrine Boye at Nordea Markets to dn.no. – We are back to levels we last saw in 2006, when the housing market was at its highest level, "says Boye.
Boye also suggests that the rise in interest rates, food and house prices will start to decline after 2012.
Currently, the house prices in Norway are about eight percent more expensive than the previous peak reached in 2007, before prices started to decline.
