The innovation portal will receive ideas concerning key challenges the company has faced within areas such as technology in exploration, reservoirs, drilling and wells, processing and refining, as well as environmental and developmental issues and challenges with renewable energy.
To date, the group has received 110 contributions. About half of them come from actual Statoil employees from all departments around the world, while half are from people outside the company.
– “All ideas are treated by different units according to its topic. It is a little too early in the process to say anything about what kind of results we will get out of it but we are very pleased with the response so far,” says Statoil's Technology Director Siri Kindem.
