The high figures of this season is 37 percent fewer than the same period of the peak year of 2007, writes e24 based on new statistics from Statistics Norway.
The statistics report that house construction figures for both residential and commercial purposes show a rising trend from the low level of the pevious year. So far, construction of nearly 2.2 million square meters floor space for business activities and activities in the public sector were reported. It is almost 25 percent more than the construction activities in the corresponding period of last year.
Overall, building of 4.3 million square meters of floor space was initiated in the first seven months. This is an increase of 16 percent compared with the same period in 2009.
