Norway Schools Ban Mobile Phone and Tablet PC

The regulation involves mobile phones, tablets and camera ban for all to prevent bullying and unrest.

– We hope new regulations will have a positive effect against bullying and harassment. Now the schools have a clear guidelines to deal with, says Conservative politician Mette Fimreite Roth at City Council.

Talking to newspaper Fædrelandsvennen, Roth noted the new school rules are introduced with immediate effect. – We have set the standard for what is acceptable, said the politican.

Violation of regulations may, among other things, cause the student to change schools.

Use of mobile phones and tablets, including photography and audio recording is allowed only when teacher has given permission.
