Wenche Behring Breivik (66), mother of convicted terrorist Anders Behring Breivik has died in Oslo yesterday after a long illness. The prison administration is clear that Breivik cann not have the opportunity to attend to the funeral, because he has not served long enough to leave. Also individual assessment of the prisoner, including safety and the serious crimes that he committed are decisive factors in the prison adminstration’s decision.
On the other hand, Anders Behring Breivik’s lawyer reacts to the decision.
– He has a desire to go to his mother’s funeral. Mother meant a lot to him. We have not heard anything from the prison that he can not attend the funeral, says the lawyer Tord Jordet.
He said he will review the prison’s decision after speaking with terror convicted Breivik.
