With an overwhelming majority, the party agreed that Norway should accept 10,000 refugees from civil war-torn country the next two years, wrote NTB.
Thus, the party aligned with the rest of the opposition in the Parliament.
Coalition member, Progress Party (FRP)’s National Congress said no to accept 10,000 refugees last weekend. The other member of the government, Conservatives (Høyre) have not made a formal decision on the matter, but the prime minister and party leader Erna Solberg (H) expressed that she believes 10,000 is a very high number for Norway.
