According to Osloby’s report, the initiative has been started by 65 women and 11 men. They need to collect 300 signatures until 31st of March, which is the deadline for for submitting the nominees list for the elections.
Feminist Initiative’s first candidate is Cathrine Linn Kristiansen (27), who also leads the initiative.
The inspiration for the new party comes from Sweden, where former Left Party leader Gudrun Schyman founded Feminist party initiative in 2005. The party received 5.49 percent at the European Parliament elections in 2014.
