Despite the fact that Norway has come a long way in gender equality, there are still gap between women and men in terms of politics, NRK reported.
– We found exactly the opposite of what we thought initially. It turned out that it is not the fact that gender gaps are the least in Norway and in the countries that score highest on equality barometers. On the contrary, gaps between men’s and women’s political interests are very big, – states Toril Aalberg, professor from NTNU responsible for the Norwegian part of the study.
The more equality between women and men, the greater is the difference between what they know about politics.
