Norway and Bosnia-Herzegovina Sign Security Agreement

– The agreement is the foundation for closer cooperation between the two countries within the military and civilian sectors, says Norwegian Defence Minister Anne-Grete Strøm-Erichsen.

The Norwegian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vibeke Lilloe, signed the agreement in Sarajevo on behalf of the Norwegian Government. Ministry of Defence, which has professional responsibility for security law, negotiated the agreement from Norwegian side in cooperation with the National Security Agency.

The agreement regulates how classified information should be handled between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Norway.

The agreement is a concrete expression of mutual trust and willingness to cooperate on a broad range of issues that also involves the exchange of sensitive and classified information, says Strøm-Erichsen.
