– This is a weapon that does not distinguish between combatants and civilians. The use of mines will strike the Syrian population in the years to come, said Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
The organization Human Rights Watch report more cases of laying of landmines and anti-tank mines in border areas of Syria to Turkey and Lebanon. The reports are based on several testimonies from civilians and deminers related to the Syrian opposition. In addition, the Syrian authorities, also approves there are land mines in conflict areas.
