The new government’s action plan for the next five years was announced yesterday. The section for immgration policy in the new agenda brings alot of strict regulation opposed to the expectations from Socialist Left Party(SV). Some measures cited in the policy document will enable the government to:
> Deprive the liberty for immigrants who commit crimes and people who pose a threat to basic “national interests”
> Consider returning promotion for families
> Raise the threshold for a residence permit on humanitarian grounds
> Impose a general requirement of four years of work and / or education as a condition for family creation
> Create institutions for children in the home country. This means that minor asylum seekers can be returned to their home country.
