The man was arrested at around 21.00 on Tuesday night, writes NTB. Police found the man at a hotel near the Opera. Police said the man is European, but did not give his nationality.
Operation chief Ingunn Braseth said they want to know why he put the package there and what he does in Norway. Police have video images of the man carrying the package outside the hotel where he was staying. He will be questioned in the course of the evening.
About the Case
The police was notified about the package at 14.25 on Tuesday afternoon. Just after 16:30 Oslo police reported on their Twitter page that the package was examined and the content was harmless.
