USA’s Newly Appointed Ambassador to Norway Apologizes

Talking to Norwegian TV2, Tsunis said that he regrets the statements and that he never meant to hurt anyone. If he is approved by the Senate and sent to Norway, he will meet FRP management as quickly as possible to rectify what he said.

Last week, Greek-American businessman George James Tsunis, who’s been nominated to be the next US ambassador to Norway, had called Prime Minister Erna Solberg as president and suggested that the coalition member FRP is “spewing hatred”. In addition, he said that Norwegian government has condemned FRP, as he responded to questions from Senator John McCain during a hearing in the Senate.
