PST Refuses Allegations of Ideological Bias

For two days, Norway discusses how PST used spies to monitor Blitz and other left-wing action groups in Norway. Norwegian politician Hallgeir Langeland suggested that PST has found itself on the wrong side. They have always looked to the left side, not the right side.

– It is my impression that PST is in cold war thinking. I’m unfortunately not surprised. I have an impression that the left is more important than the right for PST. However, it is regrettable to know what happened on 22 July, said he to NRK.

In response, Faremo said she does not believe there is a basis to say that. – PST’s mission is to prevent violent extremism disregarding the political scale, says she.
