The police ask people to be more cautious about the danger of snow sliding from roofs as a result of changing weather. Sven Martin Ege at the Oslo Police District told Dagbladet that almost 90% of all avalanche accidents are caused by the people involved. That’s why it’s so important to be able to recognize avalanche terrain and pay attention to the warning flags. He also added that avalanches can happen anywhere there is enough snow and enough incline.
