France Wants Increased Cooperation with the Nordic Countries

French universities want to expand the cooperation with Nordic universities and colleges. Therefore they arrange a round of visits in the Nordic countries between 16 - 20 November.

Minister for Research and Higher Education Tora Aasland said that France is one of Norway's most important partner-in higher education and research. It is important to strengthen cooperation with France, both bilaterally and within the EU framework program for research.

In the frame of the initiative, representatives from around 20 French educational institutions are participating in the tour, organized by the Campus France, an organization that works to strengthen the internationalization of French higher education.

The aim of the seminar is to strengthen Norwegian - French relations in higher education and increase knowledge of the respective countries' education systems in addition to evaluation of the opportunities and challenges related to increased mobility between France and Norway, cooperation on joint degrees and opportunities for more collaboration between institutions and industry.
