Government made a proposal for changes in the Railways Act for the establishment of a joint appeals board for rail passengers in early 2012.The proposed amendment will allow the establishment of a complaints scheme for rail passengers similar to the airline passengers' provided by the Aviation Act. The changes will cover all passenger complaints about the railroad, and disregards the EU rail passenger rights Regulation.
