Plans call for the trains that travel on Oslo-Stockholm route will be cleaned up by the end of the year, and from 2011 entirely new trains will be used between Oslo and Stockholm. On the route Oslo-Karlstad there will be more seats from 2011. Traffic will be carried out by the Norwegian State Railways(NSB) in collaboration with the Sweden Railways, SJ.
The model for today’s cooperation was developed on the initiative of Hedmark countyof Norway, Värmlandstrafik and Länstrafiken Örebro of Sweden five years ago. The goal was to develop an attractive train route between Oslo and Stockholm, and a good train connection between Kongsvinger and Karlstad.
