ELMER Nominated for European Award
The Norwegian guidelines for the use of electronic forms on the Internet, ELMER (Simpler and more effective reporting), is a finalist in the European eGovernment Awards
ELMER Nominated for European Award
ELMER was developed by Trade and Industry Ministry in cooperation with industry organizations and a number of agencies. ELMER project is an example of the design of a complex web form. The example was first and foremost demonstrate that the use of simple Internet technology offers new educational opportunities and may make it easier to answer questions from the public.
The Norwegian guidelines for the use of electronic forms on the Internet, ELMER (Simpler and more effective reporting), is a finalist in the European eGovernment Awards.

More than 5 000 different web forms to state and local authorities follow ELMER in Norway, and 90 percent of the reporting from the business sector to the public is applied through Altinn ELMER-form.

European eGovernment Awards is a European prize for public electronic services, and is awarded every two years. 259 services have been nominated in four categories. ELMER is one of 22 finalists in its category, chosen from among 113 originally submitted contributions. European eGovernment Awards were created by the European Commission. The winners will be announced during Ministerial Conference in Malmo in 19. November.
