Last test for Norway against Poland

Norway and Poland meet for a friendly match on 9 February in the Algarve, Portugal, six weeks before the critical European Championship qualifying match against Denmark at Ullevaal stadium on 26 March.

– We are pleased to meet a strong national team in the last match before the meeting with Denmark, says top football manager Nils Johan Semb.

Poland failed to qualify for this year's World Cup in South Africa, but participated in the European Championships in Switzerland / Austria in 2008 and the World Cup in Germany in 2006. As the host nation for Euro 2012 (with Ukraine), Poland is exempt from qualifying.

The match will be played at the Algarve Stadium, which has a capacity of 30,000 spectators and was built specifically for the European Championship in 2004.

– We tried to assure a good playing condition during a period when weather conditions in northern Europe can be difficult. Therefore, this match will be played in Portugal rather than in Norway or Poland, “said Semb.

The friendly match between Poland and Norway will be broadcasted live on Canal + on Wednesday, 9th of February.
