Norway started the game as they wanted and took the lead only after 11 minutes with John Arne Riise scoring after powerful free-kick. But Iceland did not take long to respond and Eidur Gudjohnsen came with the equalizer in the 29th minute with a header following a cross by Steinsson. Rest of the game Iceland was the side closer to a winning goal, but the game ended 1-1 leaving Norway further away from World Cup qualifying. Still a Hope
Norway will play their last game against Macedonia on Wednesday while Scottland will face the unbeaten Netherlands. By Norway winning and Scottland losing Norway will finish 2nd and still have a small chance to be one of the 8 runner-ups to get a play-off spot.
