Norwegian Government Rejects EU Rules on Strike
Government says no to a bill from the EU that will allow courts to decide when Norwegian workers can strike.

Talking to Klassekampen, Minister of Labour Hanne Bjurstrøm said that the right to strike is one of the most fundamental rights Norwegian people have.
She will now send a letter to the EU that Norway rejects policies that restricts the right to strike.
- It is unacceptable that a court should decide who is allowed to strike, said Bjurstrøm.
She also notes that there is great resistance to the new rules in many EU countries.
