Talking to Klassekampen, Minister of Labour Hanne Bjurstrøm said that the right to strike is one of the most fundamental rights Norwegian people have. 

She will now send a letter to the EU that Norway rejects policies that restricts the right to strike. 

- It is unacceptable that a court should decide who is allowed to strike, said Bjurstrøm.

She also notes that there is great resistance to the new rules in many EU countries.
