Norway May Be New Cuba for China

China's boycott of Norway could continue for many years, says a semi-official Chinese representative who compares the situation with the U.S. boycott against Cuba.

- I hope Norway does not become a new Cuba , said Victor Zhikai Gao to Dagbladet. He suggested that large countries are acting very differently. - Look how America has embargoed Cuba. The boycott has been going on for 50 years. I hope Norway will not be a new Cuba or China becomes a new United States. It's the worst thing that can happen, said Gao. Norway and China have lost their good and close cooperative relationship after the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Chinese dissident, Liu Xiaobo in 2011.
