Talking to Dagbladet,  Norwegian Equality and Anti-Discrimination Ombud Sunniva Ørstavik said Roma people debate shows that people have not realized how dangerous it is to have negative stereotypes about certain groups.

Many predicted that attitudes towards minorities would change after the terrorist attacks on 22 July, but it has not happened, reported 14 organizations working against discrimination. 

Earlier this summer, the 14 organizations in the delegate had met to discuss gender equality and inclusion after 22 July. In the minutes of the meeting, it was stated that there was "much talk" but little change.

Although it was expressed as a clear objective by the authorities, none of the organizations could strenghten dialogue and cooperation with the authorities, reported the meeting minute.
