So far this year, 976 people have gone back to their home countries voluntarily. There is an increase of 61 percent from the last year.
- It is clear that investment in regulation which provides financial support for the voluntary return has had an effect, "said Anne Siri Rustad at Immigration Directorate (UDI).
Extended Support to pave the way for successful application receive people from all over the countries. This doubling of the return support occurred with effect since 1 July, 2010. The support is intended as a contribution to facilitate the early days after returning home.
The largest group who wants to return is from Iraq 363 Iraqis took the advantage of the program, this year. The program includes a significant financial support for reintegration in their home country.
