Shorter Waiting Times at Hospitals
The average waiting time for all patients admitted to hospitals in Norway is reduced by two days from 75 to 73 days in 2011 compared to the previous year.

Previosuly this year, a national survey had revealed wrong treatments in Norwegian hospitals caused approximately 4500 deaths.
Also, the average waiting patients for serious illness could have been accepted to treatment in 62 days with a 4 days decrease from 66 days in the same period of 2010.

- Waiting times have decreased from 2010 to 2011. I want to thank the medics who have contributed to this improvement, says Health Minister Anne-Grete Strøm-Erichsen.
