Sunday Bliss at Karl Johans Gate, Oslo

Trio St. Petersborg visits Norway and play at Karl Johans Gate, Oslo. St. Petersburg Trio using traditional Russian folk instruments. All three members of the ensemble have performed in Germany, France, Great Britian, Austria and they have participated in folk festivals throughout Russia, Scotland, Norway, Wales and England.

In these delightful pieces you will hear the DOMRA or Russian mandolin, the BAYAN, or button accordion and the Contra-bass BALALAIKA, whose “cousin,” the prima balalaika, first appeared to Western audiences in the film adaptation of Boris Pasternak’s “Dr. Zhivago.”
