Norwegian Heavy Metal Band Starts UK Tour
Purified in Blood, a heavy metal band from Stavanger, is heading to the UK for a series of gigs to support the recent release of their second album.

Picture : norway.org | Purified in Blood (PiB) is a Norwegian band from Hommersåk, near Sandnes. They started up in the winter of 2003, and dissolved in January 2007. April 25 2008, PiB announced that they are back. They play metal with roots in hardcore
‘Under Black Skies’, the second full album from Norwegian sextet Purified In Blood, was released on June 7th via Spinefarm Records UK. The follow-up to ‘Reaper Of Souls’ (2006), this 11-track outing has been produced by Ashley Stubbert (a US producer/engineer/mixer who moved to Norway two years ago) in the band’s hometown of Stavanger, and mixed by Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Isis, Botch) over in Seattle.

Since first coming together in 2003, PIB have toured throughout Europe and the US, shared stages with the likes of Slayer, Mastodon & In Flames, and picked up the occasional award along the way (i.e. the Alarm Award for Best Live Act in 2006). Now, the six are back with a new album that, in the words of guitarist Tommy Svela, “reflects a decade of terror and decay. It drags you down and rips you apart.
