Norwegian administration criticizes SAS having ’an unfair competitive advantage “because it has a Scandinavian operating permit, while their company has only Norwegian permit. Now they complain the restricting scheme in the EU and EFTA Surveillance Authority, writes Dagens Næringsliv.
The newspaper reports that Norwegian management has spent the weekend to file the complaint to the EU and EFTA Surveillance Authority, Esa.
Norwegian have tried to access a common Scandinavian operation permit for several years, which has been specially adapted for the competitor SAS.
The scheme enables SAS to move aircraft and crew between the countries without hindrance, and makes it easier to obtain flight agreement with countries on other continents.
On the other hand, Norwegian has a Norwegian license and several limitations, according to Dagens Næringsliv.
