In the proposed parking plan, which the government has sent out for consultation will allow municipalities to force the companies and shops to charge parking fee from the customers and their own employees. 

According to TV2, the government aims to increase the use of bus instead of car reducing traffic and saving the environment.

Progress Party calls the proposal from the government is an attack on private property. The member at the Parliament’s local government and the management committee, Gjermund Hagesæter (FRP) thinks that this is a Stalinist proposal of its worst kind.
