Norwegian Export Industry Pessimistic about Future

According to Dagens Næringsliv's business tendency survey for the third quarter, Norwegian export firms have lowered their expected profit while expectations for revenue is unchanged. This may indicate that companies fear a fall in the coming months. Uncertainty about the exchange rate may also affect, because the stronger norwegian Krone may mean tougher competition and reduced profitability for Norwegian export companies.

DN barometer, compiled by market research Perduco, also shows that enterprises in retail trade, services and hotel and restaurant industry are more positive on the outlook, while industry stands out with a weakened faith in the future. Overall, the barometer shows a slight increase from second to third quarter.
