Norway is the world's 14th most competitive country

Norway has been listed in the fourteenth-place on the World Economic Forum's annual ranking of the world's most competitive economies. Sweeden stands on the top of all Nordic countries in the ranking.

Photo : Leif-Harald Ruud | Ranking is mainly based on surveys among business leaders from 139 countries. The report features countries including infrastructure, education system, healthcare, financial markets and innovation.

Sweden took the second place by passing the United States with a high score in particularly its transportation system, and business ethic. In addition to Sweden, Finland and Denmark found a place in the top 10 list.

Norway, however could not be as successful as its neighbors. The report criticized the strict labor regulations and "inefficient bureaucracy" in Norway. Moreover, the tax regulations and tax level affected the position of Norway on the list. The report also
