Prime Minister Visits Turkey

Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg visits Turkey between 9 and 10 January for talks with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President Abdullah Gül in Ankara.

In addition to bilateral issues and cooperation, the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, the financial situation in Europe and the climate and energy issues are on the agenda of the visit.

Stoltenberg will also lay down the foundation of Statkraft's hydropower plants in Kargi, north of Ankara, and watch the launch of a hull designed for Norwegian players Tersanas shipyard near Istanbul. The Prime Minister will also attend an event for the promotion of export of Norwegian seafood in Istanbul.
